This is a classic example of how a subject’s features manifest themselves by my hand the second time around. It’s strange, but he also looks a little older than in the film still. I’ve noticed this of late – that when I try to draw a child who is now an adult, something of their adultness grows out of the lines without my intending it to. Still, this sketch took me a whole five minutes, whereas the other took only one, hence the detail.
